    Blogging is a commitment

    Category: Blogging Professionaly

Blogging is similar to marriage. What do couples who have been married for 60 years contribute to their success? Commitment. Professional bloggers who are earning a full income from blogging say the same thing.

If you only blog based on your feelings, (when you are inspired or when blogging sounds like a fun thing to do) you will probably eventually lose interest in blogging and give up. If you don't take marriage seriously or view it as a commitment, and tend to live life and take action based on however you "feel", your marriage probably won't last.

Blogging requires a daily commitment just like any relationship. If you stop communicating, your relationship dies. If you stop blogging for an indefinite amount of time, your readers leave. Blogging has its ups and downs just like any marriage. It won't be fun and exciting every day. Sometimes you will rather do anything besides blog. Some days you would rather do anything than talk to your husband. Some days blogging will be boring. Not everything in marriage is a comedy show. But, if you do make the commitment to blog every day, and continue blogging to see success with your blog, there are benefits! You will grow as a writer. You will feel a sense of achievement. Most importantly, you will make your income doing something you enjoy! And those couples who have committed to marriage for 60 some years? They have a friend like no other, a partner, and have learned more life lessons they could ever learn being single.
