How to Get Comments on a New Blog

Is your blog looking lonely and bare? Without any comments, your blog gives the impression that you don't have any readers. People are more likely to comment on a blog post which already has comments. How will you ever get a few comments which will encourage your readers to start posting comments of their own?

Here are 3 strategies you can use to get comments on your new blog:

1. Send your blog to close friends and family members. Ask them to visit your blog and leave a valuable comment on one of your blog posts.

2. Find another blogger online whose blog is also new and lacking in the comment department. Ask them if they would like to work together. You will read and comment on their blog posts if they do the same for you. Or perhaps your blog is a joint venture. Ask your partner to post comments to your blog.

3. Write an impressive creative article and promote it on twitter. If readers enjoy your article and you include a link to your blog in the article's resource box, you will attract visitors to your blog. If I come across a writer whose style of writing I enjoy, I will usually click on their author link to read more of their writing.
